What is Kava?

 

Kava is a plant originating from the South Pacific Islands such as Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Fiji Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, Solomon Islands, and other minor Pacific Islands. Enjoying the effects of a beverage made from the root of the tropical plant (Piper methysticum) is common practice in the South Pacific and has been used for ceremonial and social occasions for over 3000 years. It is a 100% natural and non-alcoholic beverage.

 

Where do we source our kava?

 

We sustainably and ethically source our kava from Vava'u, Tonga.

 

 

What does kava taste like?

 

It's common knowledge among kava drinkers that kava does not taste good. “We drink it for the effect, not the taste” is the common phrase since kava is notorious for having an unpleasant bitter, earthy taste. What are the effects of kava?

 

Kava has a slight numbing effect on your tongue upon drinking it. Do you have an age requirement?

 

Kava is not regulated by any state or federal law, but we ask that our customers be at least 18 years or older.
